To prepare the future leaders of the craft to rule and govern with Pride, Knowledge, Compassion and Competence. To aid these future leaders in their responsibilities to train, educate, and instruct their officers, brethren, and future leaders by following the example of all those who have gone this way before them and by helping them recognize their strengths and to be better able to utilize these strengths to harmoniously move the Lodge, District and the Craft to greater heights.
• The Road To The East program is available through Lodge Services
located in Grand Lodge.
• The first section will review the 24-Inch Gauge Masonic Resource
Guide, discuss Masonic Law, Grand Lodge Structure, Educational Opportunities,
Duties and Prerogatives of the Worshipful Master, review and discuss
the Master & Wardens Checklist.
• In the second section the importance of Planning Your Meetings,
Communication, Right Stuff for Every Lodge, Public Communications
and Public Relations will be reviewed and discussed.
• The last section will cover Community Involvement, Membership
Programs, Ritual Mini School on Instruction, Official Visit of District
Deputy Grand Master, Masonic Etiquette and Protocol.
• The Road To The East is designed to be given in three sessions; each session will be 3 to 4 hrs. in length. The instructor may combine two of the sessions at his discretion or for the convenience of the participants, but under NO circumstances will the time allotted for each session be shortened.
• The Road To The East will be presented in a professional,
enthusiastic and beneficial manner. The instructor WILL be knowledgeable
of the contents of the course and the 24-Inch Gauge Masonic Resource
Guide. If any questions arise concerning the course or material, the
instructor should contact the education liaison for his area
• Every Brother taking the course will have a personal copy
of the 24-Inch Gauge Masonic Resource Guide, Masonic Law of New York,
his Lodge’s By-Laws and a copy of the Standard Work and Lectures.
• By the end of the third section every Brother will have a
working knowledge of what is needed to run a Lodge and what is needed
to have a successful year as Master.
