24-Inch Gauge Masonic Resource Guide
A Lodge Resource Handbook for all Brothers

Purpose:
To provide leaders of the Lodge (Lodge Officers, Past Masters, Committeemen, Team Players) with a basic understanding of Lodge organization including methods of operation, programs, Masonic education, leader role, preparation, responsibility, communication as well as the role of Grand Lodge and resources available across the country. It also serves as the major resource material for the revised and updated New York Masonic educational Courses.

Objective:
To help steer all Masonic leaders onto a course of revitalization, relevance and purpose, by addressing
member needs, thence providing member satisfaction.

Freemasonry (Section 1)
This is the beginning of the journey. This section describes a little history of Freemasonry, various Landmarks and the start of Freemasonry in the United States.

Grand Lodge of New York (Section 2)
This section includes Chapters on the Grand Lodge of New York. What it is, who it is, and its structure, committees and programs are all described to provide the New York Mason with a base to build his knowledge. This chapter lays the foundation.

The Masonic District (Section 3)
This section describes the District officers, their function, responsibilities and committees and organizations that may be an active part of every district.

The Masonic Lodge (Section 4)
Basic elements of Lodge operation and leadership. Masonry builds leaders. Freemasonry is a Fraternal Association of Leaders. The Lodge is the means.

More Light in Masonry (Section 5)
Robert R. Livingston Library reading programs and the Masonic Service Association highlight this section for those who wish to pursue More Light in Masonry.

Further Light in Masonry (Section 6)
Masonic Education programs and Research Lodges along with Masonry on the Internet are the focus of this section.

Masonic Concordant Bodies (Session 7)
This section provides some basic information about those Masonic bodies that a Master Mason may join to further his knowledge about other aspects of freemasonry.

Appendices (Section 8)
This section contains Masonic Programs for tiled and public meetings, quizzes and sources of Masonic books and materials along with a number of suggested readings and a listing of items available from Grand Lodge.
